LEARNER’S EXPECTED LEVEL: No notion of Arabic. Does not know how to read, or write, no vocabulary.

DESCRIPTION:Only the age differentiates both levels (6-8 years for the level 1 / 9-12 for the level 2). Children will study 4 hours a week. Sessions will take place every Sunday (8h30-12h30). Two books will be studied for this year. These two books were drafted by the association. Alif Ba (volume 1) for the learning of Arabic language and Alif Ba (Volume 2) for the learning of Tajweed rules.

Thanks to these two books, every student will progress at their own pace. Two workbooks accompany these two books. There will also be playful workshops for students to apply what has been covered in class.

END OF YEAR RESULTS:Thanks to both volumes of Alif Ba, every child will learn how to read and write at their own pace. Pupils will study letters and basic rules of Tajweed in order to become gradually able to memorise the Qur’an unaided with the mashaf.

LEARNER’S EXPECTED LEVEL:Children able to read with difficulties. Little vocabulary.

DESCRIPTION:A weekly session of 4 hours. Sessions take place every Sunday (8h30-12h30). Every session is divided into two parts. The first two hours are dedicated to the learning of Arabic and both following ones to Qur’an memorisation. For the Arabic part, students will study a collection of texts taken from several works: volume 2 of the Medina books, Al' arabiya bayna yadek, Kitab Alassassi, Minhaj assaghir, …

Objectives : To enable students to read fluently through the study of different texts (dialogues) included in the book. Students will also have to memorise vocabulary and learn grammar rules (examples, exercises and learning definitions).

As for the Qur’an, the teacher will use the volume 2 of Alif Ba (learning Tajweed rules) as well as a book entitled Al Mashaf.

END OF YEAR RESULTS :At the end of the level 3, students would have improved their reading skills and would have memorised a number of rules allowing them to express themselves in Arabic (both orally and in writing).

LEARNER’S EXPECTED LEVEL :Relative fluency in reading. Little vocabulary, some notions of grammar.

DESCRIPTION :A weekly session of 4 hours. Sessions take place every Sunday (8h30-12h30). Every session is divided into 2 parts. The first two hours are dedicated to the learning of Arabic and both following ones to Qur’an memorisation. The book studied in Arabic is entitled An-nahu al-wadih. The objective is to memorize vocabulary and learn grammar rules (examples, exercises and definitions). Students will also have to memorise some of the 40 hadiths of imam An-Nawawi. As for the Qur’an, the teacher will use volume 2 of Alif Ba (learning Tajweed rules) as well as a book entitled Al Mashaf.

END OF YEAR RESULTS :It is a preparatory year for the study of Al-ajuroomiya. At the end of the year, students would have covered a sufficient number of rules to allow them to express themselves in Arabic (both orally and in writing) without grammar errors. They would be able to converse with an Arabic speaker and would understand almost a full Friday sermon (khutba).
